Diotima, spring 2026 ready-to-wear<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Rachel Scott’s presentations for Diotima are a favorite of mine each season, and her joyful debut show in September was no exception. As ever, the designs\u2014this season inspired by carnival\u2014felt sensual yet utterly wearable. From the scoop-necked tops paired with ruffled skirts (the gray and bright pink color combo was a highlight) to the feathered mustard-y green skirts, I can imagine all of these pieces out in the world. Scott even sold me on the peplum. \u201cIt\u2019s a moment of resistance that\u2019s rooted in exuberance, joy, and sensuality, and is against any form of domination,\u201d she told Laia Garcia-Furtado before the show. It was the breath of fresh air we needed.<\/p>\n

The collection\u2019s red carpet appearances\u2014seen on talent like Greta Lee and Britt Lower already\u2014prove that the clothes look just\u00a0as good IRL as on the runway, not that there was any doubt there. Now I\u2019m eagerly awaiting Scott\u2019s Diotima showcase in February, and her first official\u00a0collection for Proenza Schouler. (We got a glimpse in September, judging by which, it\u2019s going to be good.)\u2014Maddie Schulz<\/p>\n
