Vogue<\/em> published a comprehensive package yesterday that breaks down\u00a0the best-dressed people of 2025. It was an exciting project here at the office, going to bat for the people we absolutely believed needed to be in the mix. Looking through the final list of 54 people, from Jeremy Strong to Rihanna, there are many lessons to learn, most with universal applications.<\/p>\n

This is actually a really important lesson. If you\u2019ve found your dream wardrobe piece, why not get more than one? It doesn\u2019t need to be as opulent as getting a custom suit made in two different colors\u2014though that\u2019s really the dream, isn\u2019t it? It can be as simple as getting two of those basic T-shirts you love or noting the style number and measurements of your favorite vintage jeans and hunting for another pair. The trick is to wait for deep discounts to stock up on the things you\u2019ve realized you need more of.<\/p>\n

Mixing prints is an instant way to elevate your look. Though it may be a scary proposition, consider that as long as you keep the prints in the same color palette, your combination is likely to be a success. (If you want to experiment with different colors, then you may want to keep both prints or patterns in a similar scale.) Another approach that works is to mismatch types of items; think a formal double-breasted blazer with sporty shorts, or a sporty anorak with a more feminine skirt. When in doubt, remember Paula Abdul\u2019s great hit \u201cOpposites Attract.\u201d<\/p>\n

I have written a lot about hats this year, and I have definitely written about this Pamela Anderson look at least three times. But can you blame me when it\u2019s this good? A hat not only adds an unexpected level of pizzazz to your look, but it also makes people ask, \u201cWho is she?\u201d Do yourself a favor this holiday break, and take some time off from doomscrolling; search for vintage hats on eBay instead, until you find one you like. There will come a time when you are getting dressed and you\u2019ll realize a little (or an enormous) hat is exactly what you need. And you\u2019ll be happy you heeded my advice.<\/p>\n

If you find yourself with a surplus of vintage and concert tees that you\u2019ve acquired throughout the years but feel you don\u2019t lead a jeans-and-T-shirt lifestyle anymore, think of these Zo\u00eb Kravitz and Jennifer Lawrence looks. Kravitz layered a vintage baseball tee with a ladylike, semi-sheer plaid skirt and ballet flats for a casual flair, while Lawrence offered a laid-back alternative for a chic summer outing by adding kitten-heel sandals and a luxe clutch, which amounts to a really glam take on pajama dressing.<\/p>\n
