Are we still holding space? If so, I would like to hold some for the best male grooming moment of the evening at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards: Enter, Jacob Elordi and his luscious and thick mustache.<\/p>\n

Last night, Elordi scooped up the award for Best Supporting Actor for his part as the monster in Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein<\/em>. This marked his first ever major acting award, and seemed to surprise even him. \u201cBloody hell. I really didn\u2019t plan for it,\u201d he said. \u201cThank you, Guillermo del Toro. I love you. We all love you. You made my dreams when I was 11. I\u2019m so happy to be here.\u201d He also shouted out the movie\u2019s production design, costume, hair and makeup departments which also won awards: \u201cYou guys are geniuses!\u201d<\/p>\n

Elordi knows the power of details<\/em>\u2014it\u2019s what makes him one of the best dressed (and best groomed) men in Hollywood. Consider his vast collection of Bottega Veneta bags in all shapes and sizes, or that little diamond stud in his ear. And while it\u2019s all about the mutton chops for his forthcoming turn in Emerald Fennell\u2019s Wuthering Heights<\/em>, IRL, Elordi has been sporting a baby mullet that\u2019s always expertly coiffed and tousled. Usually styled by his hairstylist Amy Komorowsk, it\u2019s an undone, \u201970s style that leans into his natural wavy hair texture. Recently, Elordi has been pairing that nostalgic hairstyle with an even more groovy piece of lip hair.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the weekend, at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, it looked to be at its thickest yet. And last night, while accepting his Critics Choice Award, it looked similarly healthy, matching the mullet and his dense, defined, dark eyebrows. Paired with a sleek Bottega Veneta suit and those rose-tinted Wayfarer style sunglasses that he loves, it felt more Almost Famous<\/em> than Victorian Gothic.<\/p>\n

We can track Jacob Elordi\u2019s \u2019stache growth back to the very beginning of the Frankenstein<\/em> press tour, with hints of a shadow \u2019stache and stubble first appearing around the time of the BFI Film Festival in London back in October 2025\u2014maybe, he was getting a headstart on Movember. Over the last few months, it\u2019s slowly gotten fuller and more shapely. At one time, there was even some spectre of handlebars or a half-horseshoe style (something you\u2019ll see on the likes of Bad Bunny or The Weeknd) on his face.<\/p>\n

Staying devoted to growing facial hair that thick, without any sparse spots or inconsistencies in texture, is no mean feat.
